1. What is included in the purchase price?
We have included a full turnkey furniture, premium electronics package, kitchen package, artwork, accesories and bedding/linens.

2. Why include the furniture?
Many of our buyers come from distant lands - Australia, England, South East Asia, many are busy successful professionals who don’t have the time to spend 2-3 weeks selecting furnishings and then waiting 8-12 weeks for delivery - only to find it does not match.

3. What is the cost to the buyer?
The furniture is included in the price. Because of volume we have achieved significant economies of scale, these savings are passed on to the purchaser.

4. Can I buy my own furniture?
It is not recommended.

5. Are there summer activities at Big White?
Not yet, but rental companies have started a summer rental program and are finding a growing demand – visitors coming to Kelowna are happy to spend time in a luxury apartment for the fraction of the cost of a mid range hotel in the city.

6. Will The Raven appeal to the summer renters?
The fitness area and pool will be very attractive features for the summer renters and owner stays; with Golf courses, wineries, 75 mile long lake - sailing, beaches, waterskiing etc. there are many summer activities to choose from.

7. Why the large decks?
The Great Outdoors, sunsets, BBQ’s, hot tubs or a glass of wine, why not?

8. What is the location in relation to the village?
Two minutes walk gets you to the gondola which takes you to the village, the gondola or a 7 min (downhill) walk takes you home.

9. How close is the nearest restaurant?
Kettle Valley Steakhouse is in Happy Valley Day Lodge, adjacent to the gondola (2-minutes), the fine wines, superb food and perfect setting… considered the best at Big White.

10. Why would The Raven appeal to families?
Located in Happy Valley means direct access to the tube park, skating rink, Happy Valley Day Lodge, immediate village access (via the gondola) plus direct ski, pool and fitness area all adds to the attractiveness.

11. What is the view like?
30 of the 35 units are facing the Monashee mountains, all units have huge windows to bring the beauty of Big White into your home.

12. When do you expect to complete the building?
We expect to transfer title to the new owners sometime between December 2006 and January 2007.

13. How much deposit is required?
10% at the time contracts are signed.

14. What is the total down-payment?
Canadian buyers can get as much as 90% finance, Americans 85% and rest of the world 75%.

15. Are there any special rules for overseas purchasers?
None, many of our buyers come from overseas.

16. Can I finance the purchase?
Yes, see links to banks and mortgage brokers on our website.

17. Why would I buy at Big White instead of the more famous Whistler?
Better skiing, less expensive, more consistent snow, un-crowded slopes, family atmosphere… interestingly Big White attracts buyers from Whistler – people who bought 15 years ago, made a lot of money and want to do it again… and people who didn’t…

18. What is the benefit of geothermal energy?
There are two main benefits to geothermal energy i. The operating costs of property is significantly lower, because the energy supply is coming from the heat energy in the earth for every dollar spent on operating the system there is $3 - $4 dollars of heat going into the property. ii. The building is much more environmentally friendly far less fuel is consumed.

19. Is it expensive?
A.  No. The initial combined cost of the service and usage is equivalent to traditional heating costs, this is because the cost of energy is roughly a 25% - 30% of standard energy costs.

20. Why not use normal energy?
Two reasons, i. Over the long term the cost of normal energy will rise significantly faster than geothermal energy, this means long term operating costs will fall in relation to other buildings. ii. Environmental reasons, geothermal energy is much cleaner because it uses heat from the earth rather than extracted oil or gas.

21. Are there any onsite amenities?
Yes swimming pool and fitness area.

22. Are there any rental restrictions?
No. You can use the property as much or as little as you wish, you may use any rental company you wish.
